Making an Appointment

Dr. Ekdom is trained in clinical neuropsychology.  Post-doctoral fellowships in the Neurology Departments at Cornell and Georgetown University Medical Schools.  He received his Ph.D. from the University of Iowa and began his practice at the University of Iowa Hospitals. 

 

Dr. Ekdom has provided neuropsychological assessment and treatment in medical and educational settings for over fifteen years.  He is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the George Washington University School of Medicine

 

Dr. Ekdom is a member of three major neuropsychological societies (National Academy of Neuropsychology, International Neuropsychological Society, American Psychological Association Division 40-Clinical Neuropsychology) that provide ethical guidance, ongoing training, and professional development.

 

Erin Sabina is our office manager.  She explains evaluation procedures, schedules the evaluation and follows up in ways to help make the evaluation experience a positive one.

 

Meg Krantz is our billing coordinator.  She can help people understand their medical insurance coverage for the evaluation and honestly predict the level of support be expected.  She also bills the insurance company with appropriate diagnostic and service codes as a courtesy, in an individualized way, to maximize appropriate support from each person’s insurance company. 

 

Xi Sheng, M.Phil (George Washington University), Adam Woods, B.S. (George Washington University), Suzanne Leaman, M.Phil. (George Washington University), Ranon Cortell (Catholic University), and Amanda Rahimi (George Mason University) are psychology testing technicians.  They are advanced graduate students or doctorate candidates in psychology.
